*RARE. Adult. First self-found ICGU was nice consolation prize for missing the GLGU. Was scanning the flock when I came across a cute gull with a more delicate appearance than the HEGU around it, with a small rounded head, smaller bill, and dark iris. I called out to the group that I had an Iceland Gull candidate, and managed to get a couple of other observers onto the bird before the flock was flushed by a BAEA. I initially hesitated to 100% call the bird in the field, as I haven't observed an *adult* ICGU before, and my (somewhat uninformed) assumption was that even adult ICGU primaries couldn't be as dark as they were on this bird (though I did note that they were slightly lighter than those of the gulls around it). Review of pics and some outreach to my go-to birding authorities confirmed the bird as an adult ICGU.
