Dettagli dell'osservazione
**Continuing 5th (1st non-Monhegan?) state record found here by Derek Lovitch on 11/24/25. Jasper quickly located it in the tangles growing up along the E side of 54 Seashore Ave, then it flew over to a small Japanese Maple(?) at 12 Ryefield St/Eighth Maine Ave, then it flew over to the front row of bushes and then backyard of 76 Seashore Ave. Not associating with other warblers, just foraging through the vegetation and often calling and wagging its tail. Photos/audio/video. Pretty typical Leiothlypis warbler in shape and stature; petite warbler with a small, pointed bill. Primarily plain cool gray overall, paler below, with striking lemon-yellow undertail and rump/uppertail coverts and some inconspicuous yellow coloration on the central breast, and a complete white eyering. Called frequently, giving enthusiastic chip calls similar to a Nashville Warbler but sounding sweeter and less dry, not quite as high-pitched and with a more noticeable upswept quality. Prominently bobbed its tail (which was noticeably longer than a NAWA) like a Palm Warbler constantly.
