Up to five scarlet-chested parropts were foraging on bare red earth with scattered stunted shrubs spinifex and regrowth from a recent bush fire.

Dettagli dell'osservazione

Five birds first discovered by their characteristic flight call. The party flew in from the north and settled in regenerating burnt woodlands. The birds foraged on the ground among grass tufts and weeds. One young male with a blotchy scarlet chest remained perched in a dead tree and did not participate in the foraging.
