As reported by other ebirders: brown upperparts, white underparts, white face and neck with brown cheek patch, cap, and between eyes, grayish-black short bill, dark eyes, dark grayish legs and feet. Diving the length of the pond. As I sat on the west end of the pond waiting for it to make its way towards me, it ran on the water, then flew past me headed west.
