Ten active BCCH were suddenly motionless at a sunflower seed feeder. Recording of the BCCH just after this.

BCCH were active, then were instantly quiet and motionless at the feeder area. Only faint high pitched notes were heard from all directions (recording). After a few minutes, one BCCH came and landed on a branch near the central feeding station, with several "dee" calls, then 3-4 other BCCH came over about 20-30 seconds. They were back to their very active feeding flights about the feeders with the WBNU within 5 minutes. One short interaction on a post feeder was observed between a WBNU and a BCCH. A second was between two BCCH at the feeder at the same time. (see photos ). No hawk or NSHR were noted in the immediate area.
