Note contenuto multimediale

Three combined recordings of the same bird that was perched in a tree in the middle of the woods, which actually consisted more of reed than trees. Since every successive recording was taken closer to the bird, the quality of the recordings increases. There is some noise of the nearby road that affects the recording. The song consists of a slow series of fat tones in an irregular pattern, reminding a bit the song of a Saffron Finch, although Merling rather mistook it for Blue-and-yellow Tanager, which is not expected at this elevation. In the second and third recording, a song that is similar but twice as fast is heard in the background just before the nearby bird started vocalizing. Probably this was also a Slender-billed Finch and the two were responding to each other.
