I recorded this Wood Thrush from halfway up the southern slope of the wooded creek valley. The singing was so loud that it almost hurt my ears.

heard 2 singing, 3rd I saw on a nest in SE corner of woods, to NW of Mother Oak, nest about 5 ft from ground in rose tangle at base of young tree -- its mate was actively singing in the nearby creek valley
