This female House Finch looks like she might have Conjunctivitis or at least the swelling hasn't gone down since the infection healed. We had a male and female a few months ago who had the same swelling around the eye. The first of November, we were gone on a cruise and I forgot to put out extra seed before we left. After we got back, it took several weeks for the word to get out that the Black Oil Sunflower Seed Buffet was back! But finally they all started coming again. I wonder if this is the same House Finch who had a swollen eye before?
