Continuing - observed on a cold and clear night with one other couple after much concern raised on local GroupMe channel about bird's health. Observed it sleeping, standing close to garage door. It unfolded, walked slowly and gingerly to its left and went out of sight behind car in driveway. Unmistakeable, esp when it woke.
