Single bird, wading all alone near the shore on shallow waters. Immediately realised it's a sandpiper but not the common ones I had seen in veeravanallur. This one had more brownish upper part with spots and the white of the bottom did not curve upward like the common. White ring around eyes and a line like eyebrow. Lifer!
