Female seen in the distance through scope from jetty at 1130. North of the north parking lot / surfers. Then photographed from (36.8160049, -121.7923646) beyond the north parking lot entrance to the beach. The eider was about 150m out in the water on the edge of a scoter flock till I left at 1pm . Most of the scoters came close to shore but not the eider
