4 atop concrete smokestack low on S Hill noted 1110, the last 2 descended SW 1212. Socializing, changing places, occasionally spreading wings. One took a foray out & returned. Bulky body, long neck, round head, thin bill, long legs, short sharp-cornered tail, broad wings with pale area within primaries. Possible family group. Digiscoped ~1.1 mi off with heat shimmer increasing as they awaited updraft development.
