In a large resting flock of Canada Geese on the ground. Excellent scope views as the bird preened at the front of the flock. Small size, short neck, short stubby bill, steeply sloped forehead all giving off a distinctly cute impression. Paler back than the Canadas. Photos. Thanks to Jim Mead and Clem Nilan for finding this bird!
