Always an incredible bird, but especially here! Turned around from watching the ocean at the lot 7 beach and was happy to see an eagle cruising by pretty close. Then it banked. Chaos while taking photos and noticing the clean underwing patches on the inner primaries, white tail base, and small head with lighter-appearing nape when more light came through breaks in the clouds. Long wings a bit broader in the secondaries and tapering towards the tips, not as consistently broad and plank-like as Bald. Watched the bird in binoculars and the scope until it disappeared immediately before the wind picked up and some light rain started falling.
