roosting by the edge of the lake north of the creek inlet, slim and sleek tern like bird with a red bill tipped black, long legs, sandy plumage with chestnut belly and black wings, wagging tail, swift running motion, quite pale in plumage so perhaps an immature, amazing to see here, likely dispersing from drier conditions inland, amazingly also seen here at Lake Eppalock back in 2020
