These plovers were noticeably smaller than Black-bellied Plovers. The golden wash was especially evident on the face. The consensus of the birders present was that the primaries were not long enough to bring American Golden-Plover into the discussion. This was a little far for my camera, so hopefully some sharper photos will be provided by others.
