Immature/female type. White over eye, red central throat patch, green flecking on flanks. Kate Stone and I were just discussing this species and noting the recent observation in Lewis and Clark County, wondering if this species does occasionally migrate through in the late summer but gets overlooked until the late fall birds arrive and everyone then takes notice. Well, this bird just came into the garden as we were having this discussion.
