First saw a gull that looked too dark to be a California gull around (38.6661857, -121.7149302). Wondered if it was the lighting and got closer. A very dark mantled gull with long dark primaries, slim bill with a red spot only, yellowish legs, and pale eyes. Slightly bigger than the average CAGU. Looked like an adult or a very advanced 3rd cycle.
