This bird was not present until probably about 1:00 pm. It was actively flying and diving, sometimes flying within maybe 50 feet of the people on the beach. I overheard that it was seen earlier flying behind a tour boat by one of the people on the boat way out on the lake, out of view from the beach, which is probably why it was not present from the beach earlier in the morning.
