This bird stayed pretty far away but clear scope views. A pale mid-sized shorebird, larger than SEPL, long straight thick black bill, black legs, stout body, rounded head. My guess is it is a female, maybe still molting into full breeding plumage? Throat white, breast with a diffuse band of dull grayish brown streaks, lower breast, flanks, belly and undertail coverts pure white. Wings spangled with brown black and white, back very pale but some blurry dark markings, same for crown. The face was very pale with an indistinct dark eyeline behind the eye. Wings not extending beyond tail. The expected black shoulder barely showed, but was discernible at times on its left side. In flight the long white wing stripe was visible but the bend of the wing did not look contrastingly black.
