I have a photo and am fairly confident with the ID - but would appreciate confirmation if others could find this bird. I wasn't sure of what I was looking at, at first, given its location. I have seen one once, near Bodie. Smaller thrasher, bright eye, slight stripe, bill seemed more "ordinary," looked thrush-like in stance. It flew in short bursts from the rocky bluff edge into the low plants and back again for more than 15 min, taking cover in a ceanothus plant that was also being utilized by White-crowned sparrows.
