*scarce; seen simultaneously in appropriate cattail wetland habitat on the east side of the field. Initially detected by chit callnotes, otherwise silent. Small wrens showing white supercillium, dark cap, white streaks on dark back, rufous flanks and whitish breast. One was especially cooperative as it repeatedly clung to and probed cattail heads.
