I had taken Terrie Swanson to the wet meadow on Draketown Road, about 1/4 mile north of the culvert bridge over Little Conneautee Creek and south of the cattle farm on the east side of Draketown Road. We sat there for about 45 minutes so Terrie could photograph the snipe. There were at least 40 snipe here. Other birders (i.e., Robert Scribner, Jamie Hill, and Jerry McWilliams) had also reported up to 45 Wilson Snipe at this location in the past week or two. While we were parked there, Jamie Hill drove by and stopped briefly to say hello and offer photography advice (i.e., stay in the car and use it as a photo blind). He, too, saw some snipe, but didn't make an eBird checklist. Photo by Terrie Swanson.
