Kayaked to the spit in search of the bird reported the past two days by John Gustafson. Ran into Devan and Nathan when I arrived and they got me onto the bird along the shoreline. Dark midsized wading bird with long down curved bill. Dark iris. Flushed several times by people on docks etc. but always returned to one of two areas to forage. Photos.
