Taken from my backyard within a minute of its arrival in a neighboring yard. Note the yellow face, and the small kill beneath its feet.

Alighted on a jakaranda branch with a small kill, still with a flushed face. It perched and ate for several minutes, its face drained back to yellow. Carried its kill to another branch, then returned after a couple of minutes. A few minutes after I submitted the checklist I went to get closer, where I discovered its kill had been some kind of white-and-rufous bird, and it was finished eating and spent considerable time preening. A silent, solitary bare-faced go-away bird was in the same tree a few branches beneath it.
