Rare Migrant:Known area of annual and periodic winter visits. Diminutive diving duck ,female type similar in color tones than larger Scaup associating with, but darker chocolate brown above and dirty brown flanks. Nice looks at contrasting white underside when she preened and rolled. Small but distinct tuft of dark head seen well. Diving closer to seawall for great views. Photos TBA.
