Continuing in the Grand River islands area 0.7mi west of the 114th Ave. boat launch, in a small inlet on the north shore of the river along the main channel (43.035112, -86.153646). Some apparent bill anomalies, lower and upper mandibles slightly crossed at tip, some space between both even when closed. Lots of snails and crustaceans on the small sandy flat inside the inlet, maybe 15 feet wide. First Michigan record, lifer, nice row on the inflatable out there with the family.
