Was on a small dock locking for dragonflies when this bird flew in and landed about 15 feet from me. Slowly got my camera out. Didn’t seem bothered by my presence. According to eBird this seems like the first June record in Mendocino County. Waded in the pond for about 10 minutes and took off.
