This bird was regarded as a naturally occurring individual from a wild population in Mexico. The bird was not banded and there had not yet been any of the hacking programs in west Texas at this time. There are several paragraphs about this record in American Birds 46(2):278. I saw it on this occasion as well as February 18. On the later date I was able to get photos which will be posted with the checklist I will submit for that date. The photo is at: http://www.inaturalist.org/observations/137984
