Adult in flight. Remarks: A wintering species in the Banni, Great Rann, Little Rann and grasslands of Naliya. Coastal sand-dunes and tussocks of grasses in the coastal belt provide good habitat for this species. Roosts in Suaeda fruticosa bushes finding the shed of the halophytes, merges very well with the colour of Suaeda bushes, 3-4 birds roost in close vicinity of each other. - JT.
