Flight unlike common and pallid its more agile frequently zigzagging between the tree canopy and showing a frequent jerk movement to the side wich make them quite easy to detect between their cousins when together. In the same light conditions plain swift showed an obvious contrast in the paller upperwings and dark head, mantle and rump...."(like a cross between a pallid and common swift)".
