unusually large group, have not seen many at feeders this winter. Perhaps moving through on their way back north? All 8 were in view at one time, gathering at platform feeder. I was able to digiscope a few of them in one frame. We do have House Finches in the neighborhood, but these were Purple Finches by females' very strong facial pattern, large bill with straight culmen, and males' more diffuse and pinker colors.
