Calls from various parts of a group of almost 100 birds, some on the ground, others flushing, and others flying over in flocks.

Dettagli dell'osservazione

Counted, 1x1, a group of 95 on the ground, photographed a flock of 61 two minutes later (while the larger flock was on the ground), and a flock of ~40 were flying away the other direction. Probably more in the area since it was hard to get an exact count, and each scan of the distance would turn up individuals I hadn’t seen before. This is a conservative count that avoided any double counting since I was able to tally them before any mixture of the groups occurred.
