Continuing rarity feeding in the reeds and grasses in NE corner of 75-acre lake. Dark rail with white spots on back. Long greenish yellow bill with red spot at base. In the roughly one hour I watched it with 5 other viewers, it would stay hidden in reeds, then move out along shoreline, sometimes slowly and sometimes very fast, in a hurry to get back into cover. Lifer.
