I considered this grouplet to be about 5% of the total flock. If so, then there were ca. 340 grackles in total. I lowballed that extrapolation by a factor of 2.

Stearns Lake is the site of an annual (wintertime) roost of Great-tailed Grackles, and counts like this aren't uncommon here from mid-autumn through early spring. This count is a lowball estimate; see photo.
