Superb Starling - Lamprotornis superbus on a lawn at Jebel Ali Resort and Golf hotel. I heard them before seeing them. Their call seemed familiar, but I couldn't identify it as (to my knowledge), this species is not recorded in UAE. I was quite shocked when 2 birds landed close to me, foraging for food. My phone was the only available device to snap one of them (explaining poor quality of this document). Later that day, I saw a flock of 6 competing with Indian Myna who are, by far, the most common bird in this area. Elevation: 1 m. Date added to IBC: June 21, 2016.
