Magellanic Oystercatcher preening. These beautiful Oystercatchers are relatively common on the Falkland Islands. The female is slightly larger than the male, and they probe the sand on beaches and the pasture for worms, and at other times forage on coastal rocks for mussels and limpets. Elevation: 174 m.
