A parent brings a fish to a chick that hatched less than 2 days ago, and then spends a lot of time positioning the fish so.....the chick can grasp and swallow the fish head first. Then it cleans a lump of wet sand off the end of the chick's bill.Apparently this is a single parent, and when it left the chick, instead of heading out to open water to catch a fish, it harassed another tern and stole its fish to feed its own chick.
