Flew and landed on utility pole just West of the white gate entrance to the South Farm headquarters on main gravel road. First notice the all pale brown back in flight and once it landed on top of the pole I was able to scope it out. The pictures that I took through the scope show the prominent dark mustache on the face and overall pale face and large eyes. I was able to distinguish this bird from a Merlin by the pale back and white front with less streaking. The underside of the tail was plain white and showed no barring that I could tell on the backside. I also checked my photos with the Merlin Bird ID app and it came up as Prairie Falcon every time. We observed the bird for about 20 minutes and it did not seem affected by the several cars that sped past. Bird was still present when we left.
