NOTES: FIRST HALF RECORDING IS JUST SONG, FOLLOWED BY ALARM NOTES, MORE SONG, THEN ALARM NOTES IN RESPONSE TO PLAYBACK. THEY SEEMED MORE QUIVERING IN NATURE. AT LEAST ONE OTHER BIRD WAS HEARD AND IT HAD ALSO NO MORE THAN ONE INTRODUCTORY NOTE BEFORE THE LONG BUZZ. THIS BIRD WAS FLUSHED AND GAVE A FEW NOTES DIFFERENT FROM THE RECORDED CHIP NOTES. A.M. MIRABALIS. BNA: Primary Song is heard probably followed by Tsip (tic) calls beginning at about 12 minutes. Song resuming at about 16:29, followed again by the calls at 17:15. CZ 01/06/2004. [One-hundred and two examples of Primary Song, as described in BNA account. These songs are all quite similar, but those near the end of the recording (16:21-17:10) have a slightly more complex introduction (with two additional notes at the very beginning) than those in the first half. I agree that the series of sharp calls (11:21-16:20, 17:11-19:32) most likely represent the "tsip" call described in BNA account, but but I believe the lower-pitched, clicking sounds were instead given by a frog (e.g., 17:12-17:22). Quality changed from 1-2 to 2, 2-1 (insect/frog noise worse in some places than others) - CAM - 17 March 2005]. Response to playback: Different song. Other Behaviors: Advertise, Emit Alarm.
