very spectaculair migration of Honey-Buzzards, they probably were already flying during the day when I noticed a few very high flying birds gliding to the North, then I realized that they were making use of thermals just above me. Initially there was a group of 40, but when I started following this group gliding to the North, there was already another build up of 80 Honey-buzzards. I counted for more than 45 minutes, the largest group consisted of >120 birds. There were also a few groups making use of thermals more eastwards. Some of the birds disappeared in foggy patches, so I guess that there must be >1000 birds flying over from 15:35-16:23. During this 45 minutes, I always saw dozens of birds in the air, either arriving and using the thermals or gliding to the North. At 16:23 I didnt see any birds arriving anymore, so I assumed that it was more or less over. At 17:25 I saw 2 other birds flying North or arriving to spend the night at the mountain.
