Rare for Date and Location: Observed at the shoreline midpoint between the County Park and Lake Ronkonkoma proper (Lake Shore Rd.). Fairly large Flycatcher with dark head and face, faint wingbars, pale underside. Typical tail wagging; foraging from low height to ground and back. This bird appeared healthy. Apparent overwintering at present. Time: appx. 2:00pm. Photo.
