continuing bird; first observed hugging the shoreline/ice line counterclockwise around the entire upper half of the lake; lost the bird for a solid hour or so before relocating with several others on the far SE side of the lake; at one point I posted upshore from the bird with an entirely camouflaged outfit; the camo worked really well (!) and at one point the bird popped out of the water on a nearby log and started preening 10-15 feet away; absolutely magnificent little duck; photos TBA
