Possibly a long-continuing male, found today with two other goldeneyes at (37.82361, -119.11584), just off the prominent point/peninsula at the southern tip of the lake; frequently diving. Distant photo below (central bird), showing the distinctive back spotting pattern and the crescent-shaped white spot on the head. Possibly the male first seen on 11-9-2025 by A. and E. Stepniewski, and seen again on 11-29-2025 by E. Rios-Bretado and G. Fay. If so, then this BAGO has been at Grant Lake for at least a month.
