Almost certainly an undercount given the plants obscuring parts of the reservoir. Absolutely crazy numbers covering most of the reservoir. Counted initially by tens, then by hundreds across the whole thing. I would love to know the true number. Just as a sample of what the reservoir looked like, see attached photo where I counted (as close to exact as I could!) 424 Common Mergansers. This was one scope view out of many.
