!!! This species crossed my mind as possible but highly unlikely. After finding the first one I was enamored. I then continued towards my intended route only to be flabbergasted by a second individual less than 100 feet away. Later I noticed a tree that I thought was rather perfect for an owls roost with tons of white-wash. As I approached the tree to check it out, a third pale-bellied Barn Owl was located. Its ghostly figure panned across the prairie right in front of me.
