*Rare, winter adult in first gull group on the beach, before the bollards. Mostly spent time sleeping, but revealed head for additional field marks a few time. Slightly larger than surrounding RBGU with clearly darker gray mantle, intermediate between RBGU and LBBG shades. Legs yellow-greenish similar to RBGU. Head heavily smudged, dark eye, and red and black gonys all clinched ID. Photos.
