Heard initial descending trill call ~9:35am Seen flying on grassy slope 9:45am Flew again 9:53 seen steadily until I left 11:25am As described yesterday by Steve Law, richly coloured grassbird with long tail, streaky back, brown/ruddy crown. Calling in flight with clucking and calling with descending trills and clucking while at rest. Spent the majority of its time in the brambles but moved around the tall grass and occassionally perched in small trees on the slope. Most active earlier in the morning. Photographed.
