Increasingly scarce given the recent overall dip in Bonaparte's Gulls numbers on Lake Champlain. Tiny gull, smaller than the surrounding Bonaparte's Gulls. This individual was an adult in non-breeding plumage with dark smudging on head, otherwise slightly paler upperparts than Bonaparte's Gulls, shorter-winged and pale folded primaries.
