Will upload photo. Medium sized owl with warm orange-buff color overall. It looked like a large, uncoordinated, floppy moth in flight- unmistakable. Flushed from high grass along roadside at dusk, flew further into the meadow before landing again out of sight. Open grassland habitat fits for SEOW, as does its habit of roosting on the ground.
